The Development Committee of Legislature-Parliament has said its attention was drawn towards media reports that directives of parliamentary committees regarding the construction of Kathmandu- Tarai/Madhes Fast Track seemed conflicting. 

In a press statement Tuesday, Committee President Rabindra Adhikari said the Committee and Finance Committee have the same understandings in view of taking the project ahead on the basis of existing model. The Committee has stated that it was actively supporting the government development projects including the fast track and was in touch with the various ministries and experts to facilitate the implementation of the project. 

The previous meeting of the Committee had directed the government to give priority to the use of locally available resources while implementing the important development projects, the Committee said in the statement.
