Eight policemen injured in Bhairahawa clash (Update)

The clash erupted between the agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) supporters and police. The SLMM protesters led by Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato resorted to stone-pelting after the police prohibited them from entering the border point for a sit-in protest.
Protestors also hurled stones at Area Police Office, Belhia.
Likewise, the protestors also manhandled a squatter youth from Rupandehi, Krishna Bahadur Chettri while he was entering Nepal from India.
Locals condemned Indian police for being a mute-spectator while the youth was beaten by the protestors on the Indian territory.
The situation has not come under control yet and a large number of security personnel have been deployed at the scene.
