This is the first time such a huge amount of petro products entered the country via Kailai entry point since the Indian side imposed undeclared blockade against Nepal.
A total of 20 diesel and two petrol tankers made entry into the country today, said Nepal Oil Corporation Regional Office Dhangadhi. This is the first time that IOC supplied fuel to the Nepali as per the demand since the blockade. The NOC office is hopeful that the supply of petroleum products in the far-western region would be at ease within four or five days.
The available petro products will be distributed to customers through 67 dealers in the region on quota systems.
Likewise, 26 NOC tankers that had reached Banthara depot in Utter Pradesh, India on Tuesday were provided fuel, it is learnt.
