House meet postponed after failing to elect prez, veep through consensus

A meeting of Legislature-Parliament scheduled for 4:30 pm on Sunday to elect the president and deputy president through consensus has been postponed.

According to Parliament Secretariat, the meeting was postponed after parties failed to failed to file the candidacy for the post of president and vice president through political consensus.

The timetable issued by the Parliament had stated today as the last day to nominate the state head and deputy head through consensus.

The next meeting of Parliament will be held on Wednesday (October 28).
