NGO Federation of Nepal elects Central Committee
The NGO-Federation of Nepal, an umbrella body of NGO’s across the country, has elected new Central Committee for next three-years.The NGO-Federation of Nepal, an umbrella body of NGO’s across the country, has elected new Central Committee for next three-years. The eight general convention of the Federation held in the Capital on Monday and Tuesday elected 31-member committee under the leadership of Gopal Lamsal. Similarly, Krishna Gautam has been elected as senior vice-chairman (VC) while Dhruba Prasad Dev and Parbata Acharya have been elected as VC.
The umbrella body of over 5,500 NGO’s of the country also elected Milan Shrestha as general secretary and, Ram Prasad Subedi, Bishnu Thakali and Dinesh Chaudhary as secretaries while Jeet Ram Lama has been elected as treasurer. Newly appointed team has said it will work for the betterment of the NGO’s in the country. “We will also work increase the presence of Federation to uplift different social and economic sector, and advocate for human rights, social justice and democracy,” said newly appointed Treasurer Lama.
Apart from 9-member office bearer 22 central committee members were elected through direct voting while immediate past chairperson Sharmila Karki is an ex-officio member. The list of members is as:
