Two fake medical license examinees arrested

Police have arrested two fake examinees who were found attending Nepal Medical Council (NMC) licensing examination on Saturday.
The examination was being held at Chhauni-based Nepal Army Medical College and was attended by 513 medical students including 472 MBBS students and 41 BDS students.
Police identified the arrestees as Dr Sushil Mandal with NMC license number 14,260 and Niraj Sharma, an intern at Tribhuwan University Institute of Medicine.
The duo were taking examination of Nabin Kumar Yadav, who had flunked the NMC licensing examination for eight times and Saroj Shah, who could not get through the examination 12 times.Yadav completed his MBBS in 2012 from Chongqing Medical University and Shah in 2007 from Sichuan University, both Chinese institutes .
"This is the first time we found fake examinees," spokesperson of NMC Dr Krishna Adhikari said. "We will take necessary action after police completes investigation." He added that all the four persons will be barred from practising for at least two years which can even lead to a lifetime ban.
NMC said that it has verified photo and signature of the examinees that did not match with the real students. Each medical student should attend NMC examination and get through it before they get license to practice to in the country.
