Dec 26, 2015-

Brushing aside criticisms for forming a jumbo Cabinet and splitting ministries at random, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday created two new ministries, including Livestock Development Ministry.

A Cabinet meeting on Friday evening decided to split the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies into two separate ministries.

The newly formed Ministry of Commerce has been given to Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

Shanta Manbi, who was given the Peace and Reconstruction Ministry on Thursday, has been appointed as Minister for Livestock Development.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Oli had expanded his Cabinet and inducted four ministers and six state ministers, making it the third largest in history with 40 members.

Nepal Pariwar Dal Chairman Eknath Dhakal, who had taken oath of office and secrecy as minister without portfolio on Thursday, was appointed Minister for Peace and Reconstruction on Friday.
