There is strong speculation online that Twitter is about to change how your timeline looks.
The reports suggest that you will soon start to see tweets that are not necessarily in reverse chronological order.
According to Buzzfeed, Twitter will apparently show you content based on a computer generated algorithm.
I mourn a bit. Algorithms reflect the systems that make them. How will this one amplify voices from the margins? It won't. #RIPTwitter

You could think about it in the same way that Facebook shows you a range of posts from different times of the day.
There's no confirmation from Twitter that this roll out will happen.

Needless to say, it's not gone down too well with some Twitter users. The hashtag #RIPTwitter has been trending all day.Twitter is going through a lot of change at the moment.
A few days ago it announced it was updating its homepage for people not logged into the site.
There is also the ongoing rumour that the site will get rid of its 140 character limit.
There's a reason Twitter has to evolve.
It's struggled with competitors such as Snapchat and Facebook and its share price has fallen.
