Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has been admitted to Shree Birendra Military Hospital at Chhauni after he had taken ill on Saturday. 

Pun, who was in Sindhuli to inaugurate a programme, was flown to the Capital in an Army chopper after he complained of “high heart beat”. 

According a statement from Directorate of Public Relations of Nepal Army, VP Pun has been shifted to VIP ward of the hospital after initial treatment at the emergency ward. His health condition is improving, it said.
