Dr Bhakta Man Shrestha, Chairman at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, has been charged with corruption.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case at the Special Court against Dr Shrestha on charge of amassing illegal property by abusing his authority. The anti-graft body has sought Rs 16,757,116 in damages from Dr Shrestha.

CIAA has also demanded to confiscate Dr Shrestha’s property without source. His wife Shilu has also been dragged as defendant.
