Minister Mainali intervenes in disabled people’s trust

In a press conference on Thursday, the Trust’s office bearers claimed that Minister Mainali’s intervention brought the entire activities of the Trust to a halt.
The Trust President Nitesh Kumar Gupta said the minister froze the bank accounts of the Trust and shut down its services. This is likely to affect some 3 million differently-abled people in the country, said Gupta.
The office of National Federation of the Disabled, Nepal situated at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu has been providing wheelchairs, tricycles, crutches, artificial body parts, among other things, for free to the people with disability. Its services have been stopped since the minister’s intervention, read the statement.
