Dang police arrested two persons on Saturday in suspicion of throwing acid at a woman.

Two masked persons on a motorcycle had thrown acid at Rita Chaudhary of Ghorahi-2 while the latter was sitting at her shop on Thursday evening.

Chaudhary underwent a surgery on her cheeks and neck at Medical College Nepalgunj on Saturday. Her father said she may require further surgery to recover from the attack.

Police are investigating the case and said the attack might have been carried out in revenge for a dispute over land.
