Eighteen-year-old Anjana Thapa’s body was discovered inside a locked room on the fourth floor of a house owned by Ganesh Duwal in Suryavanayak Municipality- 6, according to the Bhaktapur Metropolitain Police Circle.
Thapa, a native of Ratamata Village Development Committee-2, Nuwakot, was a plus two student at Koteshwor Multiple Campus.
House owner Duwal said her boyfirend used to visit her at the room. She was last seen by Duwal with her boyfriend on Tuesday (May 3) and the room was locked from outside for the whole day.
“The case doesn’t seem like suicide, we noticed blood clot on her both noses and are looking for other evidences,” said SP Kiran Bajracharya of the circle.
Police said they have contacted the deceased's parents. The dead body has been sent to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgung for a post-mortem.
Rotten body found
In a separate incident, a rotten body was found in the Khasangkhusung river, in Changunarayan Municipality-5.
Police said the dead body has been identified as Dilbahadur Nepali, 50, of Bholachhey. Police at the Bhaktapur Metropolitan City said, Nepali was out of contact for two weeks.
Police suspect that Nepali could have died of excessive alcohol. His son Dinesh Nepali identified his body by a tattoo on his arm and his clothes. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
