Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has said that a national consensus government would be formed under the leadership of UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal within three months.

He claimed the government so formed will uninterruptedly carryon for three years during which there will be successful implementation of the constitution that was promulgated in September last year.

Speaking at party office of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Loktantrik at Inaruwa to congratulate leaders elected from recent general convention on Friday, leader Gachhadar, who also chairs the party, said the political instability will not take the country ahead and hence he requested Dahal not to topple the current government and urged him to become prime minister only if there is a consensus government.

Leader Gachhadar said the majority government cannot give political stability to the country. He also said the upcoming budget is a common budget of all parties and not only that of CPN-UML.

Expressing his happiness over successful completion of the party’s general convention, leader Gachhadar said, “Now this party [MJF-Loktantrik] is not only a regional party. It has become a party of all people living in Madhes, Hill and Mountain regions.”
