Narcotics Drug Control Law Enforcement Unit arrested Nigerian, Venezuelan, Indian and Nepali nationals with 2.6 kg of cocaine, police source said.
Nepali Dil Bahadur Tamang, Venezuelan Yamaris Kamrin, Indian Tohid Khan and Nigerian Mohamman Lamini were arrested. The source added that the investigation has found the involvement of a Chinese national in the racket.
Police also recovered Rs 1.3 million from their racket’s possession. Police said the Nigerian group spread in Peru, Brazil, Malaysia, Pakistan and India were involved in smuggling cocaine in Netherlands, among other European countries, making Nepal as a transit point.
