Chandra Maya Mabo's 11-year-old daughter Alija, her 16-year-old son Pushpa, nine-year-old Sulochana and six-year-old son Prashant were taken ill after consuming wild mushroom Chandra Maya brought from nearby forest at Tharpu-6 in the district, local people said.
Of those who have taken ill and are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Alija died in the course of treatment, police said.
Likewise, Padma Maya Manglak, 45, and her 13-year-old granddaughter Kabita of Angna-1 died after consuming wild mushroom, police said.
They were admitted to Dharan-based Ghopa Hospital after taking sick after consuming wild mushroom and died during treatment, a local resident said.
And Padma Maya's another granddaughter Soni is receiving treatment at Lifeline Hospital in Damak, Jhapa.
Similarly, Kalpana Lawati of Kurubba-4, wife of Devi Kumar, her sons Rajendra and Dipesh, who have been taken ill after consuming wild mushroom, are receiving treatment at Amda Hospital in Damak, police said. RSS
