Abducted businessman Kedia released safely, one arrested

A joint team of Nepali and Indian police personnel secured the release of Kedia, his brother Pradip Kedia informed.
An armed group, who came on a Bolero with Indian registration number, abducted the 56-year-old businessman from Baghaban along the Kalaiya-Mahagadhi road stretch as he was heading towards Birgunj from Kalaiya, the district headquarters of Bara, in his Tucson car.
The abductors shot at Shyam Sah Kanu, Suresh’s driver before taking the businessman under their control.
Indian police have arrested one of those involved in the kidnapping, and the other two have been absconding. Sources said the abduction was carried out by the notorious Babbu Dubey gang from Bihar. Gang leader Dubey is currently doing his time at a jail in Motihari.
