Carrying out the review of the cases occurred from January to June in the district, the Informal Sector Service Centre said that cases of rape and polygamy are found increased.
INSEC representative Narahari Sapkota said that a total of 14 human rights violation cases were reported in six months' period. Of them 11 are related to rape and the remaining to polygamy.
Most of the girls suffering from mental illness and disabilities have become victim of rape.
At a programme organised by the INSEC to carry out biannual review of the cases occurred during six months, human rights activists have expressed concern over increasing cases of rape, polygamy and domestic violence although cases occurring in the political pretext have decreased after the peace process.
