PM says govt will move ahead with consensus for reconstruction

During his address, PM Oli informed the house that the government has issued a travel advisory for four conflict-ridden nations. The Prime Minister claimed that the government is diligently monitoring illegal departures of citizens to those countries.
“The government had sent the national flag carrier to bring back the bodies of the Kabul attack victims without any assistance from insurance or foreign-employment companies,” he said, “The government has already announced compensation for the victims’ families and free treatment for the injured.”
Likewise, raising the issue of reconstruction PM Oli said that all activities regarding reconstruction, including appointments of officials at the National Reconstruction Authority and its working mechanism, were done in agreement with all party, especially with the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC).
“The government has done all reconstruction related activities with consent from every party,” he said, “At the time when the government is ready to move ahead with the reconstruction process, dissent regarding the matter should be stated clearly.”
The NC had been obstructing the Parliament meeting over the reconstruction issue. The main opposition party had demanded a lump sum of Rs 200,000 to the earthquake victims for the construction of houses.
The ruling and the main opposition parties have agreed on the demands of the main opposition party for providing the lump sum Rs 200,000 and also Rs 15 thousand and Rs 25 at a two percent interest rate.
