3 Nepalis killed in UP bus accident

At least five people were killed and 40 others injured when a bus plying from Butwal to New Delhi met with an accident near Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh of India. Three of them are Nepalis and two Indian citizens.
Two of the Nepali victims have been identified as Khum Bahadur Gharti, the driver, and passenger Dhana Prasad Lamsal. The name of one child killed in the crash has not been ascertained. The bus carrying passengers from Nepal had collided with a truck loaded with vegetables.
According to Inspector Pramod Chhetri of Banke, who reached the accident site for rescue, 40 people were injured. “There are serious injuries in their hands and legs. They are undergoing treatment at a local hospital,” Chhetri told the Post.
