Twelve supporters of fasting Dr Govinda KC have been arrested from PM’s residence in Baluwatar during a protest on Tuesday.

Four doctors and eight students were arrested when they tried to enter the prohibited zone in the PM’s residence. Dr KC’s supporters had taken out a rally from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) to Baluwatar against the government’s apathy towards Dr KC’s demands.

Metropolitan Police Range Spokesperson Pradhumna Karki informed the arrested have been kept at Metropolitan Police Circle in Kamalpokhari.

KC is on indefinite hunger strike at TUTH for the past 10 days.
