The band is slated to play in Germany and Denmark.
The band will be playing at the Gruenspan in Hamburg on July 30, before flying out to perform at Amagerbio in Copenhagen on August 2. This is slated to be the first shows for the well-travelled band in both the countries.
“I am excited to perform in new lands and reach to the broader Nepali Diaspora” said Amrit Gurung, the front-man of Nepathya. “We will meet to have fun and also share memories of Nepal” he added.
The band is scheduled to perform a two-hour set of popular numbers from their catalogue. They will also be performing their new single Koshi Ko Pani, which was released on YouTube earlier this week.
“With this brief tour of Europe, we are opening the horizons to take the band to cities with smaller Nepali populations,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha of Nepalaya, the promoters of Nepathya. “In these past 15 years of our affiliation with the band, we have taken the band to almost 50international venues. We now aim to take them to the Nepali Diaspora spread around the world.” He added.
Amrit will be accompanied by Dhurba on drums, Suraj on Keyboards, Subin on Bass, Niraj on Guitars and Shanti on Madal. The entourage will also include a technical and a management team.
The Hamburg show is being organized by Tamu Samaaj, Hamburg and the Denmark show is being hosted by INAS, International Nepalese Artist Society, Denmark.
