CPN-UML has announced Rs25,000 cash assistance each to floods and landslides victims from party's Natural Disaster Relief Fund.

The central secretariat meet of the party on Friday directed its district committees to make necessary arrangements for immediately distributing relief amount to victims.

The meeting also decided to collect Rs5,000 each from party's central office bearers and members, parliamentarians and officials assuming government post through political nomination of UML.

The party has opened a bank account in the name 'CPN-UML Natural Disaster Relief Fund' at Agriculture Development Bank, Kalimati, for organisations, institutions, professionals and public to deposit cash.

The meeting also condemned attack on Nepali citizens from Indian Territory when they were protesting the construction of levee by Indian at Dasgaja area across Tilathi of Saptari on Thursday. The party demanded government to take necessary steps for treatment of injured Nepali.
