Seven shops were ruined by persistent landslides on Monday night. The landslide also obstructed the way that leads to Tamakoshi Hydropower project.
According local businessman Mahesh Shrestha, the old market of Singati bazaar is at a high risk of landslides. Seven shops and three households have move elsewhere from the place due to landslide risk.
People living at the hazardous areas have been relocated, Area Police Office informed. Three families have been moved to safer places after a landmass began to slide, Inspector Binod Sunuwar said.
Singati Bazaar, a commercial hub for 18 surrounding northern VDCs, was badly devastated by the quake of April 25 last year.
