The achievement award is a scholarship given to female students scoring the highest in the final year.
Sabita Ojha, with the highest score in the third year, was named the gold medallist. Rojina Shakya and Sabina Raut, top scorers in the second and first years in hospitality management, received a silver coin and a cash prize of Rs40,000 each. NATHM is the first hospitality management college in Nepal. Hotel Annapurna said it was focused on creating awareness and helping underprivileged members of society as part of its corporate social responsibility. The award is a tribute and a legacy to the wishes of the late princess Jayanti Shah.
Inaugurated in 2002, the Princess Jayanti Achievement Award is one of the hotel’s many initiatives to provide support to young women in pursuing degrees with professionalism. The hotel said its corporate social responsibility focuses to create awareness and facilitate aid to underprivileged members of the society, be it the education of a girl child, feeding the hungry and among others.
