India’s Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has congratulated Prakash Sharan Mahat for his appointment as the new foreign minister of Nepal. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Swaraj has expressed her willingness to work closely with Minister Mahat in strengthening bilateral ties further.

“India attaches highest priority to its friendly relations with the people and government of Nepal,” the MoFA quoted Swaraj as saying in her congratulatory message.
