The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in Canada with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for a royal tour, five years after they first visited the country as newly-weds.
All eyes were on the young prince and princess when they emerged from the Royal Canadian Air Force jet the Cambridges had flown in.
The royals were met by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, among others. Mr Trudeau attempted to get a "high five" from Prince George, but the three-year-old did not play ball.
The Governor General of Canada, David Johnston, also greeted the family.
The duke and duchess were met with a welcoming ceremony and greeted by crowds of thousands of people at the Legislative Assembly in Victoria.
Some of those in the crowd took their chance to grab a selfie with the prince. The Vancouver Sun's Steven Hume said locals in Victoria were "still crazy for" the royals.
Among the welcoming events was a performance by First Nations traditional dancers
The duke and duchess were directed to the Cenotaph war memorial where a bugler played the last post before a minute's silence was observed.
The duke and duchess have been spending time with Mr Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire. Together they attended a meeting of senior Canadian leaders at Government House.
The duke and duchess were given earplugs as they made a 30-minute journey from Victoria to Coal Harbour, in British Columbia, in a Twin Otter aircraft.
During their visit to British Columbia's Immigrant Services Society, the Duchess of Cambridge was presented with a bouquet of flowers by a young girl.
