The winner says
I was down with flu for the last four days. I had switched my phone off and was sleeping the whole day today. At 5:30pm when I turned on Kantipur TV, I saw my name being announced. I was awestruck and could not even think what I should next. I live with my octogenarian father. When I told him that I had won Rs 10 million under the Kantipur subscription scheme, he would not believe me. Then I shared the news with my wife. The moment I switched my phone on, it started ringing. The call was from the Kantipur Publications. Then only did I believe I indeed had won the prize.
I belong to a middle class family. I have one son and one daughter who are abroad pursuing their higher studies.
I have over Rs1.8 million in loan which I had taken while sending my daughter to Australia where she is currently studying hotel management. I will spend some part of the money I have won under the Kantipur Karodpati for my daughter's study.
