Police have arrested six men in connection to the Tuesday evening’s attack at Deuli Police Post in Agrigaun, Surkhet. Deputy Inspector General Madhav Prasad Nepal said police also recovered the weapons—three rifles and one pistol— that were stolen in the attack. Fifty of the 200 bullets that were snatched by the attackers remain unaccounted for, he added.
A group of around 30 people, wielding sticks and knives, had raided the police post on Tuesday evening following a dispute with Police Constable Nara Bahadur BK over a card game. (PR)
