An evening with Triple Ace
The historic Patan Museum grooved to jazz on Wednesday. The event was part of the Cultural Exchange Concert, supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum in Delhi. The members of the band also gave out a free workshop to local musicians as part of the programme.
The Triple Ace band members, Erwin Schmidt on Piano, Dusan Novakov on Drums and Uli Langthaler on Bass along with Mariano Abello on Saxophone & Flute, Ted Piltzecker on Vibraphone and local musicians Rajat Rai on Guitar and Prince Nepali on Sarangi played during the concert.
The Austrian Band performed their own compositions like Jhelum, Punakha, Nelumbo, Kathy and also standard jazz tunes like Someday My Prince will Come, Round Midnight and Oleo.
Speaking to the Post, the organisers expressed their hope that the collaboration between Nepal and Austria will open doors for many other musicians across the world to travel to Nepal and share their music.
