Political parties in Palpa have called off the strike in the district. Protests were being held in Palpa for the past 11 days against the constitution amendment proposal.

Political parties formed a human chain on Saturday at headquarters Tansen and called off the strike. Normal life in the district was hit hard due to the strike called by political parties and various youth associations. They said they will continue other forms of protest such as sit-ins and demonstrations.

Various district leaders addressed the assembly today and said the political parties should address the sentiments of the people before amending the constitution.
