Govt preparing to give 50 per cent subsidy to farmers
Feb 17, 2017- The government is preparing to provide up to 50 per cent subsidy to the farmers who are employing modern agriculture technology for farming.
Minister for Agriculture Gaurishankar Chaudhary made the announcement while inaugurating first International Agriculture Expo in Kathmandu on Friday.
Urging the youths to opt for commercial agriculture, Minister Chaudhary argued that the agricultural country like Nepal was not becoming independent on agriculture profession in lack of commercialisation of agriculture.
More than 200 stalls will be featuring agricultural tools and technology and poultry equipments made in Nepal and abroad in the 3-day event that aims to attract more than 200,000 visitors, organisers said.
Nepal Agriculture Machinery Entrepreneurs Association, Future Ex Pvt Ltd and Media Space Solutions are the organizers. RSS
