China urges Nepal to carry out home work on OBOR concept

Speaking in a programme organised by China Study Centre here on Wednesday, China's Ambassador to Nepal, Yu Hong expressed the belief that Nepal could reap benefit from this project which has been brought forth to give an impetus to the economic collaboration by maintaining coordination among the people, market, the economy and culture.
The Chinese ambassador stated that the concept introduced by China since 2013 was an important issue which would connect the south, south-east, eastern central and middle-east Asia.
Noting that once the concept materialises it would not only ramp up physical development but also deepen the people-to-people contacts, she expressed the confidence that there would be the highest level of participation from Nepal in the OBOR International Summit to be held in Beijing, China.
Acting president of the China Study Centre, Sundar Nath Bhattarai said the Centre has been organizing discussions, interactions and debates on Nepal-China cooperation since 1999. He shared that the Centre is planning to hold discussions on OBOR in the coming days. RSS
