Police on Thursday apprehended three Indian men in possession of 70 kg marijuana from Hetauda.
The suspects have been identified as Ranjan Kumar Singh, 30, Rahul Kumar Singh, 28, of Mujffarpur, Bihar, and Subash Ram, 30, of Motihari district of India.
A police team deputed from Bhaise Police Post arrested them while they were transporting the contraband drug by a Tata Sumo bearing Indian registration plate (OR 05 N 4636).
Police said that the trio had concealed the drug making a false bottom on the roof of the vehicle.
According to SP Basanta Kumar Lama of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, the contraband was packed in 37 packets.
