PM Dahal had called the meeting in a bid to bring the agitating SLMM on board the local level elections.
The meeting focused on two agendas—local level polls and constitution amendment bill—according to the PM’s Secretariat.
During the meeting, PM Dahal urged the SLMM to take part in the local level polls putting on hold the issue of revision of provincial boundaries for now.
It has been learnt that the parties have reached an understanding to resolve the issue of constituent amendment bill through discussions and consensus.
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Deputy Prime Minister duo Bimalendra Nidhi and Kamal Thapa, CPN-UML leaders Bam Dev Gautam and Subas Nembang, CPN (Maoist Centre) spokesperson Pampha Bhusal and leader Matrika Yadav, SLMM leaders Upendra Yadav, Mahanta Thakur, Rajendra Mahato, Anil Jha and Mahendra Yadav among others were present in the meeting.
