3 parties merge to form Nepal Loktantrik Forum

Bijay Kumar Gachhadar-led Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik), Rastriya Janamukti (Loktantrik) and Dalit Janajati announced their unification on Wednesday.

The parties announced their unification at a function organised in the Capital this afternoon.

The unified party chaired by Gachhadar has been named Nepal Loktantrik Forum.

In a statement issued after the unification, the party disclosed its plan to visit door to door in order to unite the people from hills and Tarai.

The party has also hinted that it could join the current government.

“The party will take part in the government and support the development of the country,” the statement further read.

The merger of three parties has make Loktantrik Party the fifth largest party in the Parliament with 17 seats.

Earlier, Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-led by Upendra Yadav with 15 seats was the fifth largest party in the Parliament.

The then Forum Loktantrik had 14 seats and Janamukti party and Dalit Janajati had two and one seats respectively.
