Talking briefly to media persons before leaving the Legislature-Parliament on Sunday after deferring the House meeting till May 18, Gharti said every state organ should stick to their bounds.
“The constitution has clearly stated the role of each state organ,” said the Speaker. “I believe that everyone should comply with the constitutional jurisdiction.”
Gharti added that the tussle between the top state bodies would hamper efforts to institutionalise democracy and the scheduled elections.
“Everyone should introspect and work towards resolving the issue with patience and tolerance,” said Gharti, adding that she had postponed the House meeting in order to seek a solution through dialogue as “the nation is at a critical juncture”.
