Prez Bhandari, Veep Pun extend best wishes on Buddha Jayanti

In the message of best wishes, President Bhandari said, "Once we internalise the Buddha philosophy, internal peace and fraternity are unavoidable."
"I wish the Buddha Jayanti inspired all for peace, harmony, coexistence and non-violence," she said, adding that the precepts of the Lord Buddha are inspiring and exemplary.
The Buddha's principles would be useful for Nepal's campaign of fostering national unity, harmony and tolerance with durable peace, good governance, and building democratic, proportional, and inclusive society, read the president's message. RSS
Likewise, Vice President Pun said that holding all three levels of polls in the slated timeframe is the national need for the implementation of the constitution.
In a message issue on the occasion of the 2561st Buddha Jayanti, and the Ubhauli Festival of Kirant community, Vice President Pun said that there was no alternative to consensus and co-work among all political parties to successfully conduct the forthcoming polls.
The Vice President has also said that the importance and relevance of Buddha's messages of peace and non-violence have further increased in the present world, adding that fraternity, goodwill and sustainable peace would be established in the country and the entire world if the messages of the Buddha were internalised.
Buddha's teaching for peace: NC President Deuba
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has also wished for emancipation of the country people from all sorts of injustice and suppression and peace would prevail in the country by following the teachings of the Lord Buddha.
In his message, Deuba has said that the activities of violence, murder, abduction and anti-human rights activities should be stopped forever. RSS
