In a meeting of major parties on Tuesday, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli lashed out at the leaders of the ruling coalition— CPN (Maoist Centre) and Nepali Congress— saying that which provision of the constitution gives them the right to announce unilaterally the increment of the local units.
Likewise, the meeting also hold discussion regarding the fiscal budget. The government is keen to present the full budget on the slated date while the opposition parties have been arguing that such move would not be acceptable to them at the time of the second phase of local level elections.
Meanwhile, the meeting of the Cabinet is underway. The meeting is likely to discuss the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, budget issues among others.
