Vote counting was stalled in Bharatpur Metropolitan City late on Sunday after cadres of CPN (Maoist Centre) allegedly tore down ballot papers at the counting venue.
The election body, however, has urged the chief election officer to send the number of ballot papers torn in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-19.
The EC said that the report submitted by the probe committee formed to investigate the incident has not disclosed the number of ballot papers torn in the metropolitan city.
The probe committee had submitted the report this afternoon.
The Commission on Monday had formed the probe panel under Joint Attorney General Gita Prasad Timsina to look into the tearing of ballot papers by CPN (Maoist Centre) cadres in Bharatpur on midnight Sunday.
