Chepang leaders want job orientation trainings

Since most of them have little or no prior job experience, they do not know about their roles in the local bodies.
Govindaram Chepang said trainings could aid the elected representatives from his community in executing their duties effectively.
Eleven people form the Chepang community have been elected to the post of ward chairman of municipalities and village councils of four districts.
Fifty-three Chepangs were elected ward members.
Pancharam Chepang, ward chairman of Chitwan’s Ichchhakamana Village Council-2, said though he was elected he still had a lot to learn about how local units function.
