CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal cast his vote in Achham district at a polling station in Chandrodaya Adharbhoot Secondary School in Sanfebagar municipality-6.
Similarly, Nepali Congress central leader Dilendra Prasad Badu cast vote in Mahakali municipality-5 of Darchula district while another central leader Narayan Prakash Saud cast his vote in Bhimdutta municipality-2, Kanchanpur. NC leader Ramesh Lekhak also voted from Bedkot municipality-8 in Kanchanpur district.
CPN (Maoist Center) Standing Committee member Lekhraj Bhatta cast his vote at Attariya municipality-1 in Kailali while Rastriya Prajatantra Party's General Secretary Jayanta Chand reached Basudev Secondary School in Sunarya village council in Baitadi to vote.
Despite early morning rainfall partially affected voting in Kailali and Kanchanpur, large numbers of voters have reached various polling centers in the region to exercise their voting right. Voting has been peaceful in the region and security tightened for election, informed Nepal Police Far West regional chief DIG Romendra Singh Deuja.
