CoAS Chhetri leaving for US to attend UNTCC

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is among the dignitaries who will be addressing the gathering.
He is scheduled to meet Under Secretary General of the Directorate of Peace Keeping Force and Military Advisor of Secretary General during the visit.
CoAS Chhetri will also be travelling to the United Kingdom at the invitation of Chief of General Staff (UK) General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter.
He is set to meet the Britain’s Chief of Defence and visit the Regional Command and Army Headquarters, the Nepal Army said in a statement on Thursday.
He will hold discussion with high-level officials focusing on aspects of UK’s defence transformation. He will be accompanied by wife Rita Chettri and co-military assistant for the trip that will last till July 15.
During his absence, General Staff of Army Baldev Raj Mahat will be undertaking his organisational roles, the statement reads.
