According to the Department of Transport Management, a secretary-level meeting held on Thursday suspended Acting Chief Hemanta Bahadur Singh, Mechanical engineer Deepak Thapa, non-gazetted first class officers Narendra Raj Joshi, Tara Dutta Bhatta, Mahadeve Bhatta and non-gazetted second class officers Keshav Dutta Badu and Shyam Raj Ojha for carrying out irregularities while registering vehicles in Mahakali.
Tekraj Pandey, spokesperson at the Department of Transport Management, said that the office had earlier written a letter to the ministry after it was found that fake documents were used for registering the vehicles. They have been suspended for seven months, Pandey added.
“Initial investigation has finished,” he said, adding, “Detail investigation will begin soon.”
