The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested four officials of the Land Revenue Office, Bhaktapur, on the charge of taking Rs 50,000 bribe from a service seeker.

The arrestees have been identified Chakra Bahadur Shrestha, Raj Kumar Ghimire, Dinesh Regmi and Durga Pokharel.

A person from Bageshwari had filed a complaint at the CIAA against the land revenue officer Shrestha, alleging him of intentionally giving unnecessary trouble in response to his application to the land revenue office for making adjustment to his land plot.

Based on the complaint, the CIAA team arrested the four land revenue office officials with the bribe money from the Wave Sekuwa Corner restaurant at Kaushaltar at 7 pm on Friday.

They have been kept in the CIAA custody for further investigation. RSS
