According to party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s personnel aide Jokh Bahadur Mahara, the headquarters meeting has been postponed for tomorrow as the ruling coalition partner Nepali Congress failed to finalise names of its ministers and Dahal remained busy in other meetings.
“The Cabinet will be expanded after holding the headquarters meeting tomorrow,” he said. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3 pm on Wednesday at Lazimpat.
Maoist Centre has to pick six names for ministerial berths.
The party has already named three ministers including Deputy Prime Minister in the Deuba-led Cabinet.
Girirajmani Pokharel, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, Tek Bahadur Basnet, Sita Nepali and Shiva Kumar Mandal, among other leaders, are likely to be picked as ministers from the Maoist Centre.
