Rastriya Janata Party Chairman Mahantha Thakur has reiterated his stance of not taking part in the third phase of local level election under present status quo.

At an interaction programme organised in Kathmandu by Rafat Sanchar Club on Tuesday, thakur said they would not take part in election until their main demand of amending constitution was addressed. Thakur blamed UML for derailing the amendment bid despite the ruling parties trying for the same.

Thakur was also critical towards the government for failing to address their demands. He said government has not heeded to assure population-based representation in House of Representatives and National Assembly.

He also blamed the government of not paying enough attention to providing treatment to those injured during Tarai movement and releasing those jailed during the movement.
