Bad weather affects flights at Bharatpur Airport

Aircrafts of Buddha and Yeti Airlines could not take off at the scheduled time throughout the day due to incessant rainfall. Aircrafts of both the airlines landed a bit late than the scheduled time.
Buddha airlines which used to operate 10 flights on a daily basis have been operating only four flights.
“If this kind of weather persists than it will be difficult to operate four flights also,” said Buddha Airlines station manager Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, adding, “Flights will be affected until the weather clears.”
According to the control tower of airport, there should be a minimum five kilometre visibility to operate the flights.
Likewise, flights of Yeti Airlines have also been affected since this morning.
The flight which was supposed to land at the airport at 11:40 am arrived at 2:30 pm.
“Some scheduled flights have been cancelled due to bad weather,” said Yeti Airlines station manager Rajesh Singh.
A total of 16 to 17 flights are scheduled from the airport on a daily basis.
Most of the people have been using air route after the Narayangadh-Muglin road section was obstructed following landslides at various places to reach the Capital.
