A team of 19, led by the Home Minister, took off for western region in a chartered flight of Yeti airlines this morning.
Home Minister Sharma held interactions with flood victims of Fattepur, Raptisunari Rural Municipality in Banke district. Home Minister Secretariat informed that Minister Sharma directed the concerned bodies to adopt additional rescue measures.
He also conducted an aerial inspection of villages near Rapti and Babai Rivers. He also observed the inundated Gulariya Municipality in Bardiya.
Minister for Livestock Sanat Kumar Tharu, IGP Prakash Aryal, APF IGP Singha Bahadur Shrestha, and Chief of Genral Staff Baldev Raj Mahat, among other officials, were in the inspection team.
Minister Sharma will also visit eastern Nepal to observe the flood situation if the weather favours.
