A rare one-horned rhino swept downstream across the border to India has been repatriated.
The mature rhino was rescued from Balmiki town of India and brought home to Chitwan National Park (CNP) and taken to the eastern sector of the national park Tuesday, according to CNP East Sector Chief and assistant conservation official, Abhiyan Pathak.
The rhino was darted and taken under control. This is the third rhino to be rescued from India. A technical team has already been dispatched to rescue one baby rhino which was also swept away in the flood, CNP Information Official, Nurendra Aryal shared. RSS
